Skate Deck Art Hanging Hardware

2023 hardware update!

I have some great news that we're excited about. Look what we just received in the mail:

We have received our new custom Skatelite floating deck hardware and will be including them with every new order. We do have a few walnut mounts remaining and can include that upon request (see further below).

Skatelite is a sustainable, fireproof, made-in-the-U.S.A. paper product from "the source" …of outdoor and indoor ramp surface manufacturer: Richlite, here in Washington.

  1. 1x Cream Co Mount Plate made of Skatelite soaked in tung oil or butcher block solution
  2. 2x stainless steel machine bolts long enough to make the deck float against the wall
  3. 4x stainless steel nuts to keep deck from falling off and keep bolts perpindicular to the Mount Plate

NOTE: Does not include screw or bolt to attach Mount Plate to your wall surface. Use proper hardware for your wall, be it brick, drywall/sheetrock anchors, marble, limestone, treehouse, titanium floating airship wall, etc.

Check out that Danny Way pic! Also, that ramp is made of Skatelite.

We'll soon have a diagram explaining mounting that we'll ship with each deck and posted here. More info to come…

Previous Floating Hardware

Skate Deck Art Hanging Hardware

We were shipping out the custom, hand-made, walnut wood deck hanger with each board we make. Mt. Skate's special hanging method allows the deck to float off the wall, and can prevent any damage from marring your board.

We teamed up with Mt. Skate because we'd rather people have an all-included and non-plastic way of mounting artwork to their walls.

NOTE: We have a few left, but not many. If you'd like this one instead, mention it in the comments while ordering a deck and we'll include it free of charge along with the newer hardware.

  • 1x tung-oil-soaked walnut wood base
  • 2x lock nuts
  • 2x threaded countersunk bolts
  • 2x nuts for stiffness

This kit does not include the screw/nail/mechanics for actually connecting this kit to your wall. Why? It depends if you're mounting on brick, drywall, marble, metal, or other surface. Use the appropriate connection method for your surface.

If you choose to hang the board horizontally, you'll need two of these kits. They were reasonably priced and you can possibly find their product on MtSkate's page on Etsy.

We paid full price for these because we love the product design and we're proud to be offering these with each deck purchase.

FYI: The version of this hanger we ship is soaked in all natural tung oil for protection which preserves the color of the wood.

Thanks, Mt. Skate! We hope you make more soon.
